This is a Visual Diary of my world….
Photography from Boy Wonder – I love how he tells a story in a single image using composite images.
Photography from Brooke Shaden – What I love about Brooke’s work is the creation of images which could be taken from another parallel world, they’re often a little dark and always thought provoking.
Photography from Miss Aniela – I love Miss Aniela’s use of composite images to create something surreal.
Photography from Rosie Hardy – another wonderful photographer creating creative images using layers of photo’s to give a surreal effect.
Illustration from Gillian Gamble – I love the colours, the pen marks and the textured background.
Robby Cavanaugh – some more surreal photography which I love!
Wassily Kandinsky – bold colours and shapes are what draws me to Kandinsky’s work. He’s always bee a favourite of mine.
Illustrations by Mark Ryden – I saw his snow yak show exhibition in Brisbane earlier this year and I fell in love with his illustrations. I love the texture he manages to create and the limited colour pallet in the snow yak series.
Laith McGregor – It’s the intricate pen work which fascinated me here!
Del Kathryn Barton – another artist I stumbled across whilst in Australia. I like the ink drawings with the splashes of watercolour.
Janiz Chan – I saw this lady’s work exhibited in Singapore. I love the textures created by the paint and the use of muted colours with the contrast of the bright red.
I absolutely LOVE these designs. I love the colour pallets used, the illustrations and the typography!
